Join Kintsugi House for a guided introduction to Japanese loose-leaf green teas. Participants will explore several traditional tea styles while learning how growing regions, harvest timing, and processing methods shape flavor, aroma, and appearance in the cup.
The tasting will include a special opportunity to try seasonal “88th Night” Shincha, a once-a-year spring harvest tea traditionally associated with the eighty-eighth day after the beginning of spring in Japan. Light refreshments and food pairings will accompany the tasting, along with discussion of brewing techniques and approaches to preparing Japanese tea at home.
This event is open to everyone, from seasoned tea enthusiasts to those just beginning their tea journey. Participants will receive a printed tasting guide with information about the featured teas and space to record tasting notes and observations throughout the evening.
