Explore the world of sparkling tea through a guided tasting featuring both homemade and imported sparkling teas. Participants will sample a selection of teas, learn techniques for making sparkling tea at home, and compare the ways different brewing methods shape flavor and texture.
The tasting will include a special opportunity to try bottled sparkling teas from a small family-owned tea grower in Japan using a unique lacto-fermentation process not yet widely distributed in the United States. Light refreshments will accompany the tasting, along with discussion of brewing methods, tea production, and approaches to preparing sparkling tea at home.
This event is open to everyone, from seasoned tea enthusiasts to those just beginning their tea journey. Participants will receive a printed tasting guide with information about the featured teas and space to record tasting notes and observations throughout the evening.
